This piece is one of the Nesting Birdies I create. It was attached to a previously created 4x6 inch mixed-media background. Knowing that it would get torn to shreds without some sort of protection, but wanting to stick as closely as possible to the organic m.a. process, the piece was slipped inside a plastic sleeve and windows were cut from an envelope to create a "frame" of sorts for it. It was secured in place using washi and cellophane tape.
