The Beatles card is going to my mom who ,like many Baby boomers, was and still is a Beatles freak. She wasnt allowed to go and see them on their '65 US tour when they played at the (open air) Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington MN, now the location of the Mall of America. She said she and some friends sat on the fence surrounding the stadium parkinglot, I'm sure with thousands of others who didnt get in to see the Beatles, and listened to the deafening screams.

I am taking old school photographs of some of the pieces I have done with my Blackbird Fly camera and will post those up sometime in the future thats why I have so many gaps in my sequence. Also its fun to send surprises. Iam super happy with how the "Organic Materials" piece turned out, its the first I have done with a needle, thread, fabric and yarn. Like I said on IUOMA, people (including my mom) who art fabric artists inspire and facinate me! The piece took FOREVER to accomplish and I have NO idea where my thimble is!
Catching up....need to do a mass mailing

Here are a couple more. I'm not positive to whom I am sending "Say Cheese". The "Organic Materials" I know where that one is going, its my first piece that I have used fabric, needle and thread on so I'm excited to send it off. Much more images to come, I am reduced to taking photos of my stuff with my not-so-great camera on my phone and uploading through Flicker. Hopefully I will be able to scan all of my images in soon and catch up to all on the 365 blog!

#4 was received by Snooky & Angie, sorry 'bout the postage due! My resolve to the postage due issue will be to visit the post office with everything that I am mailing, thankfully I live within minutes of several offices so not a problem. What is the current postage rate for a post card size piece? Card stock and glue sticks dont cause weight issues, but then again i am new to the post card size...I normally work in a 8.5x11 scale. Either way this has been a fantastic adventure so far!

I'm liking this post card size. I normally work in an 8.5 X 11 scale but the cards allow me less time to mutter over it and just do it! I was slightly influenced by a film my brother and I watched last night before I did this piece, " Watcher in the Woods" its a Disney flick from 1980. It's wonderfully crazy and by no means your typical horror film but its DISNEY and slightly occultish! And it has Betty Davis!
Mailing the 1st of 365 pieces....
