MailArt #365 - DONE IT!!!!!!!

Friday, August 21, 2015
From my house to yours!  It's only taken me just over 4 1/2 years but I did complete the challenge. When I started - back in 2011 - it brought me back from a dark place & got me being creative again.  Thank you Andy for starting this - I've met some really lovely people through Mailart365, Sue, Andy, Ellena, Scott, Rebecca, MailArt Martha & lots I'd love to meet one day.  I've received a lot of lovely, inspirational Mail Art. You are all so creative & I thank you for your support.  Guess what - I don't think I'll be doing this again - however - I will continue to post my creative efforts on my blog - http://auchenflowertowhereever.blogspot.com
Thank you, thank you, thank you & farewell from me!

In Australia, we are remembering the Centenary of our soldiers landing at Gallipoli in World War 1 - here we tend to think it was when our country achieved an identity & we cut the apron strings with Brittain.  Our soldiers first went to Egypt for some training before being deployed.  This is all done from one piece of material - cut & collaged - really happy with it.

Bit more FloodArt - there aren't too many photographs left to alter/embellish. This is using the back of a flood damaged photo - the blues & purples at the bottom are made by the water interacting with the photo sitting under this one.  There are images imprinted by the water too.
