Modelled on a piece by the great Will Eisner, this was the first piece I've ever done imitating him and I realise now why his art is held in such high regard. His lines are sublime. In the 2 years I've been doing my 365, I feel I have come a long way and I'm so pleased to have been able to draw a piece by Eisner that I'm happy with. With so few lines he conjures up so much emotion

Absolutely. You find that the less you add the more the empty space comes to define the piece. Initially when I started drawing I felt threatened by empty space but now I have come to realise that it's just as important an element as the lines
