Funny English words. Before I came to England crackers were only those saltine things that you ate when you had a sore stomach or you put cheese on if you had a strong stomach. I remember thinking how playful these English were, crossing their arms and making these things pop and then wearing silly hats. And why do some people call the things you eat cracker biscuits? And then there's cranberry Wensleydale cheese. Who knew?

Love this card! Christmas crackers: one November I walked into a store near Philadelphia filled with boxes of Christmas crackers. I questioned the clerk, who described prizes and funny hats. I said, "And is it fun?" She laughed. Ever since, we've had Christmas crackers for holidays, graduations, etc.
