Mailart 365 has moved

Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there

287 - I'll leave this to you to finish Mr Postman...

Apparently Andy Warhol was a huge fan of Ray Johnson, the early New York Correspondence School pioneer and best known promoter of Mailart. It's said that he would have paid $10 for anything by Ray. The 2 artists actually met in 1956 and designed book covers together and Warhol appeared in one of his collage series.

Here, in homage to Andy Warhol and with a little bit of the mischief of Ray Johnson, I made this to send to a Sharpie buyer in Cyprus. Can't wait to bring it to the Post Office and see what it looks like when it's finished

UPDATE - When I took this to the Post Office they protested about me putting the stamp on the side opposite the envelope. I do suspect that his will actually get sent back. Got my fingers crossed, as it's £3.16 we're talking about
