Making mailart every day since December 1st, 2010!
Mailart 365 has moved
Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there
It'll be interesting to see what happens to this one in the post. It's made of slivers of paper towel cores (with a lot of glue for good measure!), yard sale stickers, a discarded lighting gel, and a piece of handmade paper. The paper is cut in the center, so the light can shine through the gel.
This was inspired by the sides of four houses (I've drawn five to fill the paper!)which I saw last week from the train window and all of them had graffiti on them except for one which was as clean as the day it was built - strange but true!
This has some metallic color that didn't scan real well. The lighter areas are actually an aqua and it looks much better in person. In fact it looks REAL nice in person!
I originally started out to make something on a doctor theme(will save that for another day) but as you can see it took a rather different turn - don't think it's going to be in the slightest bit boring...! Sending off to Snappy in Canada today.
