No more fish in the sea vs strawberries vs The Headington Shark vs Monkey peeler 30th June 2011 (#126)

Thursday, June 30, 2011
Having felt partiuclarly low these past few days I thought I would try to cheer myself up and make something that was just a little bit on the unusual side and so here we have it! Made up from cuttings all taken from the same Saturday magazine supplement with a No more Fish in the Sea, protect our oceans ad campaign, strawberries advert, a monkey-shaped peeler and my favourite The Headington Shark, one big fish that definitely isn't in the sea no more!

#67: The staple beverage

Thursday, June 30, 2011
My sweetheart and I drink a lot of tea, especially on the days when we're both working from home. Today featured cups of licorice, yerba mate, peppermint, and chamomile. I giggled a bit when I noticed "Peppermint" labeled as "Formerly 'Peppermint,' now 'Purely Peppermint.'"

ChocoGlam card, sent to Marie in Japan to cheer her up! It is one of

# 157 Asemic Book, Page 3

Thursday, June 30, 2011
This page was the most labor intensive of all.  The black & white image was made up of a collage.  After tearing and gluing copies of the collage down, I scanned them, tore them again into two pieces and glued them into the book.  The red you see is silk paper that I then sewed by hand with embroidery thread and glued it over the other images.  If only I could have captured the depth of the original collage, I would have been ecstatic.  This page faced the page 2 and worked really well with the color combinations.

#211 a, b, & c by Mim

Wednesday, June 29, 2011
Esmeralda checked to be sure someone was joining her for lunch in Tiny Town.

The lunch guests had no idea that someone hadn't finished painting the inside wall.

Baby Leo didn't like watching the hounds chase the fox.
