238 - Ninja post
This is going out to Sarah Churchill, who has been one of the stars of Plot 45
Contained within are some quilled Ninja Shurikens by Elena.
[update - I didn't think the piece was quite complete when I looked at that empty envelope. No-one likes to open an envelope and find nothing inside, so I looked around for something ninja-related to put inside. Luckily for me, my wife quills as you probably know, and she;s been quilling a lot of snowflakes lately, and these ones looked just like Ninja shurikens, so she quilled me a few more to put in the package]
102/365 - H is for...
I made this for swap on Swap-bot. That was a series of Alphabet ATCs. I know I know the alphabet starts with letter A but by the time I discovered the swap they were already on H. I still didn't manage to do letter A :(
I hope I'll be able to finish this alphabet series. I am known for starting things and not finishing them :D
101/365 - Weeeeeee're having fun
Now this is a special one. This card made me one of the spotlight designers on 365 Cards. That is a great site for inspiration. And more than that this card won me the prize underneath. What a great day that was.
74/365 - Quilled flowers
I made this for a Swap bot before the wedding.
It took 2 moths to get to Malaysia. Sometimes I wonder about Royal Mail.
64/365 - And there was land again
As usual this is made out of shredded paper.
63/365 - Whacha ya lookin at
Gluing it down was the most difficult part today as I forgot my fine tip glue bottle at home so I had to use a stick glue that I found in the office.
This cat chase goes to okadaskat who sent me a nice knitted broach a while ago. I know she likes cats so I hope she enjoys it.
61/365 - Bored at work 2
Another day of making art at work although I'm working in research. (shhh don't tell my boss). Today I came prepared with my own glue which is better suited for quilling than a pritt stick.
I'm in a snowflake phase at the moment so I rolled the shredded paper found the other day in the bin and came up with this totally recycled hanging snowflake.
62/365 - 100% recycled
The drawing that you see underneath was sent to My REAL wall few days ago from B.
The flowers were so nice and simple that I felt the need to quill them and so I did. The strips that I used for this piece are shredded paper that I found in the recycled bin in my office.
This is going back from where it came. I hope B will not get upset for altering her work.
60/365 - Bored at work
As I was on the last bit of training that took way too long for my short attention spam I immediately asked my boss for some glue and made these up while my computer was booting up.
I am really happy that I have this strips at work so I can roll some flowers in my lunch breaks and get away without looking too much like a weirdo. (I work in a very technical place)
59/365 - Oval, square and a diamond
Another challenge for the 365 card was to make a card that has a square, an oval and a diamond.
This third card of the quilled snowflake series goes to one of my favourite flickr contacts.
58/365 - S is for snowflake
This is the second in the quilled snowflake series. I made this for day 329 on 365 cards.
The pattern and the paper strips comes form the quilling pattern a day calendar that I've bought a while ago. I have to say that that I'm not very happy with the quality of the paper that comes with. The strips have funny coloured edges that gives the quilling a weird look. Well I guess that's one of the reasons why the calendar didn't become popular.
57/365 - Winter is almost over
For the day 332 -This and that on 365 card we had to make a card that has a lot of yellow and is meant to cheer someone up.
I came up with this quilled snow flake card . The pattern and the paper strips comes form the quilling pattern a day calendar that I've bought a while ago.

50/365 - A martini for Postmuse
I made this card couple of days ago using another recycled Christmas card that I found and the first quilling pattern from my pattern-a-day calendar.
When I was thinking who to send it to PostMuse came to mind as I remembered she likes wine. When I saw her Shaken,not stirred today I was really happy as it reinforce the thought to send this card to her.
Here you go PostMuse a martini from me. Hope this will bring a smile on your face and make you forget about your flight troubles.

I'm back. After staying in bed for a week with a terrible flu I'm finally able to enjoy life again and make more mailart. Yay.
I was inspired to make this quilled bookmarks from one of my flickr contacts Martina
#5 (Andytgeezer)/#9 (Elenatgeezer) - Zen pond and Lotus flower
5 days ago, I started this piece, with the intention of making a piece of art with a fat marker pen. As everyone was making fish at the time as part of an unofficial "fish week" initiated by FarStarr I felt an urge to make a fish.
The koi carp made a lot of sense on this card and the result was fairly pleasing to the eye. But I felt something was missing. So I got the glue out and stuck tissue paper around the outline. This was still wet so day 5 was missed, but I did still feel that this piece belonged to day 5. The next day I returned to the piece and splattered 2 tubes of cheap paint all over it. I've never really used paint so didn't really know what I was doing but I just knew I wanted an emerald pond effect. I had no idea it would take so long to dry, so it couldn't go up for days 7 or 8 either.
When Elena saw the end product she too wasn't too happy and wanted to add something, so days 9 and 10 were out too, as she worked on the quilled lotus flower.
So this piece is a joint effort beteeen me and Elena, 2 days late for her, 6 days late for me, but still numbered #5/#9 anyway!
This is Elenas first 3 dimensional piece and she's really pleased with the effect.
This is on it's way to Dumpsterdiversanonymous, who has been a longtime contributor of fine mailart to my REAL wall
8/365 - Aquatic life
Since everyone was into fish the other day I decided to quill some as well.
I decided to make an aquarium scene as me and Andy have an aquarium at home. Is just a small one though only with fish, no octopus or see horses :-(
This is going to one of my favourite mailartist in this group.
P.S. Unfortunately our camera broke few days ago and I had to take photos with an old one witch is very difficult to handle so the photo is not great. This actually looks much better in reality that in the photo.
