Here is the Grand Finale of MailArt 365!

It is my very first amigurumi crochet heart, suspended in a bottle, with some chocolates, and mailed to my son.

On December 8, 2010, I mailed number 1 ("I HAD SHOES") to my daughter. That is 1531 days ago. Which means one mailing every 4.2 days (more or less). Which, for me, isn't bad. Considering work, doldrums, procrastination, vague loss of motivations, clutter, and storms, that isn't too bad at all.

So, the circle is complete. (My kids have been frequent recipients of other items in the 365 lineage,  with good spirits and much laughter and fol-de-rol.)

What's next? More mailart!! Maybe another 4 year 365. I'm thinking of Mail heART 365, all hearts. But then, I'm not known for consistency. Stay tuned. Watch. And see.

Made with little origami modules, typically called 3D Origami. Probably about 100 pieces of each color were used.

I mounted it on mat board that I got for free from a framing shop (they give me scraps). It is probably about 8 inches square. I mailed it off to VAL.

In case you hadn't noticed, it's Valentines Day so I thought I'd go stampy and hearty at the same time! More stamp love on the Positively Postal website today.

Made from bits and pieces which have been lying around on my desk for quite a while, was high time to actually use them, what with New Year and all that!

Made from an advert highlighting the delights of Taiwan (the big and small hearts), an odd bit of wrapping paper, an image of a model and shower gel advert/strapline, all to shower you with kindness. Oh yes, and how could I forget the cute kitten in the bottom left hand corner!

Partners were assigned last night for one of my new favorite habits, the Swap Bot Weekly Wrap exchange. The deal is you send a postcard with a list of the week's event and either a plus or minus in front of each. This is the fifth in the series, but I missed the first one.

My partner for the fifth exchange is in Australia, and she likes purple, so the final Hearts Abound goes to her.

Swap Bot is not making my heart happy of late. I have been "banned" from two postcard swaps because of ancient ratings. I hate the stupid ratings on that site. I don't know why I hang around, except that I run a wonderful little notecard group there and I would hate to give that up. I should just stay away from everything but that group.

These fruit flans always look so yummy in the bakery, but something just doesn't work with the actual taste. Maybe too many flavors. I do love how they look, though.

I drew a Postcrossing address of a woman in Sweden who is open to handmade postcards. She likes hearts, so I decided to make a short series of food hearts and she is getting the first one.

As I really need to be packing boxes I've let the girls take the reins for a bit and here is what the eldest one made this evening. They both have these really rather cool wipe-clean mini whiteboards so she drew this onto the board(that's the blue outline you can see), photocopied/printed it out and I've now scanned and uploaded it - as she says, be creative!
