"Alice's glance at Mme Gilbert was perceived a disdainful. Whether or not it was, is questionable."

What types of paper (for base) do you use?
And what types of glue? Do you put on a final layer of glue?
I love your site and work. thanks,CC

Hi clcdark, for the base, cardblank, I often use boxes from cereal, cackers, pasta. I love the natural cardboard color, so neutral. I also use scraps of matt board (free from frame shops) or cards stock. In this case, I'm altering a commercial postcard. I use various brands of glue stick. I like UHU and Pioneer but also plain old generic brands, too. I do NOT cover the finished collage with anything. I do burnish the collaged pieces down very tightly so they stay down during the journey through the postal systems. Hope this is helpful.
