Most of the time when I send Sharpies in the post they get through just fine but I do always take the precaution of getting proof of posting from the Post Office just in case. This does however mean that many lunchtimes are spent walking down into Roehampton village with illustrated envelopes in hand, but the post office folk are very friendly and I enjoy the walk.
A couple of months ago I sent a pack out to an address in the UK and a month later the buyer messaged me to say it hadn't arrived. Luckily I had the proof of posting so I had to put in a claim request for a refund, which goes to Royal Mail by FREEPOST. No point in wasting a nice mailart opportunity, so I let rip with this piece
