#139 out of Order alphabet of English things 'Q'

At first the word 'quid' was so foreign and colloquial I couldn't say it. Back then a quid was a note.  Now they roll around in my purse and I never have enough for the car park machine, the supermarket trolley etc... and what a great scrabble word!

Oh it's been a while since I've seen one of those old school £1 notes and you could actually get quite a lot for them, not so much nowadays!
