So, this image and the words "A new materialism" come form a Washington artist that I greatly admire named Nikki McClure. I paired it with Chinese motifs that I had collected while on my travels there. I find it a bit poignant because the Chinese government espouses communism but the people have swallowed capitolism hook, line and sinker. Rampant materialism in the cities. I wish for China that it's people rediscover the "New Materialism" pictured here.
