July 7, 2011. Two "magic garden" cards were sent to Elena. They are
not exactly "quilling", but the rose/flowers are 3-D and made from
American pencil shavings. These pencils seemed to be made of pressed
wood and not "real" wood as when I sharpened them, the shavings formed
long, long spirals and did not flake, all the better for making
"flowers" ;-)

A - may - zing! You are so talented, and courageous to send these thru the mail.
"American pencil shavings" makes me chuckle - sounds like the US is manufacturing these and exporting them...
