February 28, 2011. Last day of the month, and one of the last mailings
for "hearts' day". But it is also a little "boekie" for the letter
"H". H is for Homer, and was done as a chapter for the collaborative
mail art book Project 26. It was sent to jennlui, as she was one of
the very first mail artists, back in 2009, that introduced me to
mini-books.

Monday, February 28, 2011Now I`m back with my Cylcops series.
I finally collected some make-up magazines for my Mailart.
I decided to have a touch of Japanese culture in my mailarts
so I bought a lot of origami papers with different Japanese patterns.
These are the results.
Enjoy!

Monday, February 28, 2011Yay I'm back doing mailart. Planning a wedding, along with other million things I have to do, is not easy but I managed to come back into mailart scene.
As probably most of you know I love flowers. What you probably don't know is that I took a drawing class few weeks ago. And to be honest, that was one of the most boring classes I've done. And that's not because I don't like drawing, is because the teacher made us draw really dull stuff like empty bottles or women dummies. And even worse she would come around and tell us that we didn't draw that part properly but she wouldn't give us any hints how to do it better. She would let us struggle and waste (expensive) time till we get it (or not) right.
After two lessons I got bored and frustrated and gave up the course. I decided that rather than wasting my time drawing useless things I'll do better trying to teach my self how to draw things that I actually enjoy.
So this is the first of the flowers drawing series. I use the internet as my teacher and the good things is that I don't have to pay ridiculous amount of money to waste my time.

February 26-27, 2011. Last of the Valentine mailing and there will be
an absolute "fluxus" one tomorrow. These two, last of the
pink-red-hearts cards, went to KAM in Hong Kong, China, and a dear
friend in Chicago who also makes hand-made greeting cards. It was fun
to fill the month of February with "LOVE"!

From the ad on the back of Head Bumps and Bardot:
"Dear phrenologist! Tell me honestly: Am I having hallucinations when I feel that men surround me each time I wear my Empire waisted, ruffle-necked crinkle cotton dress?"
This one's headed to my big sister who has always had men surrounding her...
