Mailart 365 has moved

Well, it's been nearly a whole year since I've posted anything up here but I am now making and sending mailart again as part of an exhibition I'm putting on at the end of this June (all mailart contributions greatly received and will be put on display) at a local gallery so while I may not reach the dizzy heights of sending a piece every day a la 365, here's a piece I made yesterday and sent off this morning.

It is based upon being on a train last week on the way to see youngest daughter perform in a dance show when all of a sudden I heard this voice say "hello! hello! hello!". At first I thought it was one of those unusual ringtones but then I saw this guy with his parrot in its cage, partially covered over, sitting opposite sort of telling it to behave/keep quiet. I got off at the next station so not sure if it was about to swear, all in all a rather unusual experience but resulted in this mailart!

Went home alone on the train, which was a bit sad.

Get on this train and you can forget about cars, made rather quickly this morning before work!

So this is what stamps get up to on a night out and there's even a train in this club! Was listening to new track by JLS and one of the lines in it is "Direct me to the floor!" so thought I'd use that here in a mailarty way.

The girls went a bit mailart mad yesterday which is great since I need to pack up and move out of my house by the end of the month so at least I have some to upload - getting behind in actually sending mind but hopefully I can catch up this week as I'm not at work.

This is a piece by the youngest, Amelia, who had already painted the background a few weeks ago and then decided to add the bridge, train, stars and moon - train heading to Mail Art Central!

I've slipped to the dark side lately. The zombie apocalypse cannot be far behind! A train station late at night with one lone -- and disturbing -- traveler.

A post-apocalyptic city & a train headed out of town. There's definitely a story there!

I began with a photo of an empty train compartment, added the woman, changed the scene outside the window, then decorated the compartment for her.
