These are selvedges from pieces of fabric. When you make quilts, you cut this bit off - never to waste anything, we save them..................what for............. to make postcards, tote bags, skirts & even quilts - I know, we're mad!!!!

For a group challenge - inspiration from a page in a magazine - cakes were featured.

Same, same but different - this one is going to my swap partner in March.

Only 20 more to go - can I start counting down????  It's only taken me 4 years.  I am participating in a Postcard Swap & the first month's theme is 'The Reef' - of course, it has to be the Great Barrier Reef off our Queensland shores!!!

Same, same but different - shibori & shashiko again

Shibori dyed fabric (the ripples like sand are an illusion - but pretty cool!) - I also did some shashiko stitching to highlight the resis in the dyeing.

Such wonderful fabrics out there to play with.

This bear is travelling the world, literally, with 2 human friends.  He has been to Australia, Asia, Africa - better travelled than most of us!

Can't help but touch & revel in the softness of this fabric.
