One year my mum bought a bunch of wooden masks that she wanted her grand children to paint.  No one was inspired and they languished for years until this year when they made it to the fair bag.  I spied one and thought, now wouldn't that make an interesting mailart? Posting when on Cranberry Island means franking and putting straight into the post box 'delivered'. BRILLIANT.

Created for a swapbot swap in the cut and paste group in a blue theme.

Tiffany's catalog, vintage stamp, chopstick wrapper bits, candy wrapper, book bits, scrounged airmail sticker, paint chip, and a paper napkin crab all on a recycled cereal box painted with crackle paint.

I usually don't paint actual things, but this swap was for a hand-painted postcard.

I made the background from a recycled cereal box and gesso. The green crab was copied from an old seashore identification book.
