Mailart 365 has moved

This piece was created for a friend. It began as a doodle on a coaster. I was inspired by the cream scallop and dots printed on it. I used my white gel pen to doodle from the outer edge in. Knowing that it wasn't large enough to post, I added it to two 6 inch card stock circles which had been stitched together with decorative machine stitching using hot pink thread. I punched a hole in the center, further securing the pieces with a small brad. I used a small circular sticker on the reverse to secure the ends of the brad for mailing. The leaves were colored with spring green.

The picture is misleading. The black background was only to please my scanner. This piece is actually a 6 inch ROUND postcard. It was created for a mail art swap, Round and Round, over at Swapbot.
