Mailart 365 has moved

It was very hard using such a dull stamp. I wanted it to be the focal point and not overwhelm it. I was determined to use all the stamps I got in Vietnam. This one does look a bit better in real life but didn't scan well.

In the next few days I will post all the pieces I've made using up all the Vietnamese stamps I bought in Hanoi.

Aw, only one antennae. I didn't slip with the scissors, poor fella just came that way.

I've been saving this hand for ages and today I found just the right sized little guy to fit.

That's not my writing on the edge there, that was put there by a school librarian. That is an actual library book card. Don't worry I didn't steal it, I found it at the bottom of a bin of books at the Goodwill.

Turns out that thick gloopy pigment you use with chops doesn't work so well on thick watercolor paper.

I have some chinese joss paper that has a bit of silver or gold leaf on it. This is the silver one. It's very reflective but that doesn't show up in the scan too good.
