Mailart 365 has moved

The background on this is a photo that I sprayed with bleach to let the image blur and the colors run. I love how the photo it turned out mottled looking.

Found some asemic writing on the wall in Edinburgh, although could this say stripy goose? Obviously there is a nod to Bris Chris here too.

I've been thinking of my favourite spots .  Not the best places with everything just right so much as the places that are not so special but that are the things I'd find hard not to see again.

got some new buttons today from Skybridge studio and wanted to show them off.  Wa thining about the Lynx, then the badger and realised I had a fun play on words.

This time I did a blind drawing and added something imaginary to it and then used less naturalistic colour which I heightened in photoshop.

Did a bit of Plein air painting.  Took an abstract part of what I did and printed it on glossy paper and looked for what it might be.  I recognised the pond and then these ducks appeared.

I love salad! This is a world of salad from my garden and an idea I am playing with.

Marianne North was a Victorian artist who traveled the world painting and collecting plants.  If you visit Kew you can see her paintings.  It seems to me that she made the world a garden,  and that might fit with mailart makes the world a town?

Was thinking blue and we had some brothers on site, so made the obvious connection.

Thought I'd take a new approach to an old fave with the kids I'm working with this week. This is part of a book that lets you change the faces.  This page is the little known Reblynxaphant. Where would you find it, d'you think?
