6 / Flowers in city
Sunday, June 19, 2011I was making this postcard for three days and I don't find right materials to finish it. Some pink beads added final touch for it and I completed my postcard today.
I get idea to use map, from fantastic mail art makers postcards with map backgrounds. My first idea was to add one color background and add dingy edges map. I made this and I taught that this don't look good, so I cut some flowers and my postcard was nearly completed.
As you see, paper look like old - I made this effect with water and glue mix. Also you can see some holes from that you can see words or one color background.
Today I added final touch - a pink beads row around flowers.

So I recently reconnected with an old acquaintance.
I some how, back in the day when i was fearless, managed to to get John Langdon to casually chat with me via e-mail.
If you do not know who Professor Langdon is - he the the artist that produced the Dan Brown ambigram images.
He has also create my name in this style - which I have tattooed on my wrist

I know he will appreciate the font that was used in this paper-cut I got from skulladay which was the result of my last stencil cut for awhile.
