Mailart 365 has moved

 This is a piece that I sent to Portugal for a Mail Art exhibit called "desAMORes." I just found out about it yesterday, and I hope that this will travel through the mail and get to Porto, Portugal before the deadline. It is a collage on 8 1/2 X 11 card stock with a geometric pattern printed on it and colored with red watercolor marker. The page is folded in half to make it envelope size. It is in the hands of the postal workers now, so we shall see if it makes it through the machinery.

I decided to do a quick glue down on two junk mail return envelopes. I am returning them empty. They have to pay twice for their unsolicited junk mail. All the unwanted applications were shredded and recycled.

This is number two with cut strips of a magazine page and watercolor markers. The strips were glued down where the white of the envelope was masked with painter's tape before the markers were appied.

This is the beginning of a collage series starting with a little weaving.

I hope the post office can find the postage!

Every envelope can't be a masterpiece. This took only a few minutes, but it was fun.
