Mailart 365 has moved

Maxim, self-proclaimed Cupcake Pastor, had amassed quite a following among the hungry mid-day crowd.

This is going to dear nordbaer, a Postcrosser with whom I've shared a number of postcards smiles over the years. I tagged him in the Handmade Postcard Tag on Postcrossing forum yesterday.

I'm still having trouble scanning dimensional postcards. I have a brand new, wonderful scanner, and I can't get it to scan properly. There is always dark shading somewhere on the card.

Anyway, this card came out nice and I love the colors and glitter. I'm sending it to a penfriend in Minnesota because I know she also loves cats.

And I am NOT using the 64¢ non-machinable postage on this one. I spent that much to mail Cheese Couture to Becky, and it arrived missing pieces ... obviously machined! I'm mailing Kitty Cupcake Party with the usual 28¢ postcard postage.

Another card that I can't scan (cupcake sticks up too much), so I put it on my Giftmas Tree. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I do enjoy a lovely Giftmas. My tree is purple with small white lights and all snowmen and snowflake ornaments.

The cupcake craze that started a few years ago seems to have quieted down a bit. I see less and less requests for cupcake themed tchotchke. I'd like to see the cupcake theme replaced with a whole-wheat flour theme. Wheat is very pretty after all.

This will go to a friend in Minnesota who surprises me every once in a while with a postcard.

Beware! They may look like screaming good ice cream cones, but they are really insidious cupcakes, waiting to take you to their planet where you will be frosting-boarded and have cute little decorative picks stuck up your fingernails.

I actually don't much like fancy cupcake shops. The cupcakes always look pretty and yummy, but usually aren't.
