Mailart 365 has moved

Anise is not an odd vegetable, but it is one of those vegetables that is not easy to use. We belonged to a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) group for a few years and got anise in our weekly basket. I tried using it like I'd use celery, but it just didn't quite fit. And the flavor was sometimes a bit too heavy.

We don't belong to the CSA anymore. We failed miserably at using up the entire basket of produce each week and felt bad about all we wasted. Now we just go to farmers markets and buy just what we need. I do miss the "forced experimentation" of having to figure out what to do with odd produce, though. I don't buy adventurous produce these days.
