Mailart 365 has moved

Another odd vegetable from the Odd Vegetable Cookbook. I have never heard of cardoon, but after reading this line on wikipedia, "Cardoon stalks can be covered with small, nearly invisible spines that can cause substantial pain if they become lodged in the skin," I think I shall avoid this vegetable. I don't need to be biting vegetables that bite back.
