Mailart 365 has moved

Created for a swapbot "Addicted to Mailart" swap. My partner liked fairies, but I don't tend to have any fairy images lying around. Serendipity! I bought a set of 1920's story books at a flea market that had fairy stories in it.

Man and indeed woman deserves a proper Post Office x 2! Started off with just the two Post Office signs and the rest eventually came together, dragon and all!

Another page from the Irish Castles book I found by the side of the road. I added several waterside visitors to take in the view.

I love taking photos of signs and notes I find in my city, so I threw in a sign announcing a particularly treacherous yet groovy patch of sidewalk outside a local bar.

I wrote down the name of this castle on a slip of paper, but the note got whisked away in this week's great, if overdue, apartment cleanup.

This spectacular bird soars over Narrow Water Castle and Dunlace Castle. Sent to a friend who's on a new path in life.

Here's the second in a series from the Irish Castles book I found by the side of the road this week. This one features Doe Castle in County Donegal and a forward-looking, necklace-wearing goat.

A painting of a woman gathering grain served as the background to which I added the crumbling stone building, the old church, the dog, and the rabbit to create 'The Gatherer'. I've included a second photo showing the original piece before I digitized it into a collage.

Another collage begun with a blank landscape. I added the castle, the battling knights, and the lion & the lamb. Definitely a message piece! I've added the original so you can see my mad method!

Another theme challenge. I used about 8 layers in this. Love the final result!

I seem to be hung up on castles this week. Bear with me -- I'll get over it!

Four photos went into the making of this vignette.

I bought a new Photoshop CS3 'recipe' book. I took a color photo of Teleborg Castle, and used the 'recipe' for a 'dark, brooding background.' Voila! It worked great. Can't wait to try some more of the 'recipes'!
