Mailart 365 has moved

Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at Come on over and check us out there

019 - Brooklyn Bridge

On the multiple themes of Biro drawings, return to sender envelopes and pictures from comic books, this one comes from the John Wagner Vertigo graphic novel "A History of Violence", which was later made into a film directed by David Cronenberg.

The original graphic is well suited to Biro drawing as it's black and white and pretty sketchy. Alright it's a messy pallet as far as artwork goes and the plot is fairly unremarkable too, but I promised myself a drawing from each book I read and so be it. This was the best image in the book to use, which perhaps tells you a little about the book and it's artwork
