Yes, it's true! "Disco Dino" (pictured on my blog) and "Hamburglarsaurus" have made their first debut in the mail. Quite exciting, if I must say so myself. My oldest son is c-razy about dinosaurs right now... And well, to be honest, dinosaurs kinda confuse me. They aren't very cute and have crazy-hard names. (Yangchuanosaurus, need I say more?) We ventured off to the park the other day, my boys with their composition notebooks and crayons, and me with my letter bag and pens. It was a beautiful day- big blue sky and light breeze... perfect picnic weather! We set our blanket up under a big tree and started doodling... when all of a sudden, I had an idea! Let's invent our own dinosaurs! And so we did. And we've been inventing ever since.
This was my first time using actual "adult" watercolors, and... I think I need some practice!
Both of these spiffy lil creatures will be heading off to New York tomorrow.
And, just in case you're curious:
Hamburglarsaurus
(Pronounced: Ham-burg-lar-saur-us) Yep!
*Travel in herds
*Most frequently discovered near McDonalds (I so totally meant to paint a golden arch in the background. D'oh)
*Are known for carrying burgers on their spikes
*Average size: 20 feet long.

Haha! Love the burgers on the spikes. Looks like a fine use of adult watercolours to me :-)
