I believe I first saw this quote on a Postcrossing T-shirt but it sums up nicely how anyone who wants to get into post should get started.
The piece is part of a larger piece, put together for the Real/my REAL wall 3 year retrospective show at The Royal Opera Arcade.
The idea was to send 49 pieces out, to the owners of the first 50 plots and see what would happen. Would the guardians of the plots put them all in? Would the owners take them out?
In addition the idea was to illustrate how I got started in mailart and mail in general, by showing that you have to send out if you want to get anything back. The first rule of post

I also posted a REAL wall of these before I sent them out. So far, 3 days after sending this lot, I can't help but notice that not all of them have appeared in plots 1-50. I like to think this is purely technical and not something more sinister in the system

Yup 2 days in a row up til 2:30. Luckily Elena was away during this time so I could get away with this sort of indulgence. You can borrow my curly letter rubber stamps whenever you wish

I believe that these were my first letter rubber stamps. I can't remember whether I got these from Blade Rubber or from Amazon, but they get a lot of usage
