We just bought some new pens this weekend - Promarkers - and last night I got back and laid some lines down for this Catwoman piece. I wasn't too sure about the colours, but Elena took over and I went down to handle some business. When I came back up I couldn't believe my eyes. Elena had laid the colours down perfectly!
She's done a great job on the skin texture and eyes especially.
One little subtle point you may not notice is that one the cheeks the ink has bled through a little and you can see the dotty textures beneath, which gives it a retro sort of Warhol, early 4 colour print look.
We spent most of this morning staring at this!
On another point, I drew this upside down. This is the second picture I've done upside down as I find it really hard not to make faces symmetrical when I'm drawing. Turning an image upside down really helps as it removes the temptation to look at what you're drawing and just frees you up to follow the shapes and lines. If you've not done this before try it!
