Thank you both for your comments - this is all new to me and I am so happy to be part of it. The 'mano di Costantino' is the hand from the massive statue of Constantine (only parts of it remain), in the Palace of the Conservatory in Rome. That hand is about 1metre 60 (over 5ft) and I couldn't take my eyes off it.
