I've just been re-reading Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's incredible run on Daredevil, where they out the superheros true identity as Matt Murdock.
The first time I read this I was in awe at Bendis's writing. I've read quite a lot of his work since then, but in my opinion he never matches this run again.
That first time, I may have skimmed through the book failing to appreciate the art. Since taking up mailart, and especially since the start of mailart365, I tend to pay as much attention to the art as I do the writing in comics, and Maleev's artwork is mesmerising.
The thing that drew me to this image in Daredevil was the apparent ease with which he created the face from really sparse lines, with lines doubling as facial features and shading at the same time

Great Andy! If all your drawings looked like this you'd be in good shape. Love the sparseness.
