The tiny caption under this map inset says "The government of the United States has not recognized the incorporation of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania into the Soviet Union, nor does it recognize as final the de facto western limit of Polish administration in Germany ( the Oder-Neisse line).This was taken from an atlas from 1958. I had forgotten that the government of the publishing countries printed their opinions about borders and such like that. It was actually a scrap from a bigger project I did with that page and I almost threw it out.
