Keep Smiling to Sunbury 25 June 2011 (#121)

This time last week the girls and I went off to The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery to see an exhibition called The Postage Stamp Collection by a Valentina Brunn. No sooner had we got off the train and started walking when the heavens opened and we got so wet there was no other option than to catch a bus back home to dry off.....Valentina's exhbition finished showing there on Monday so we missed it but in spite of that and getting very wet we kept smiling to Sunbury.....well, most of the way! Made up from my train ticket there and some recent "stamp" fragments.

This is great - the story even more so! What a great memento of the day. I enjoy reading travel tkts - this one has interesting notations: the price shows 6pounds 50x. That's scarey - looks like they are charging you 300pounds. And the Route - "Not London" - kind of zen, and also kind of....rude? "Take her to Sunbury, NOT London - possible fare-dodger here." Thanks, pos. postal, for a treat!
