It is not quite blueberry season, but once it is, I am all about eating as many as possible. When I lived in New England, we always picked our own blueberries at a local farm. I don't think there are blueberry farms down here in Pennsylvania.
Cherries are never local for me, but they are in season now, so I buy them. Years ago we did a road trip on the west coast right at cherry picking time. Every farm had a roadside stand with fresh cherries for sale. It was mostly honor system ... you put your few bucks in the bucket and took a basket of cherries. I think we stopped at every stand along the way. My fingers were cherry stained for the entire trip.
