Sent to my pen-pal Lilian in Brazil. I love the story of how I met her:
I received her address for me to send her a postcard on Postcrossing. I was pretty new to the Postcrossing game and was upset by her profile which was the first I had come across requesting "no handmade cards!". I didn't understand WHY so I asked her about it in the message portion of the postcard.
She responded in a message when she registered my card and said that she didn't know why she had that in her profile. She had seen 'no handmade or ad cards' in MANY people's profiles and she assumed she should put it on her profile as well. She then told me she would love to receive a handmade card.
I think it's interesting that this happened and it makes me wonder exactly how many people don't actually know what a wonderful handmade card looks like. I turned this wonderful lady onto mail-art and I love that. I don't understand why ANYONE would not like mail-art honestly.
Begin rant: I also do not understand when people are extremely picky on sites like Postcrossing. I just received this person's address to send to and I can't handle the list of cards they "never want to receive":end rant.

Mary, I love this card - you combined pretty AND cute - brava!
That person, M (that's all I'm writing for his name 'cause he's scarey & I don't want him to find me) must be a serious collector using every possible venue to find his treasures. Or he's joking?!?
His last line cracks me up:
"Dear Postcrossers from Finland, USA and China : Please send a postcard of a SPECIFIC PLACE, and not just a postcard of a forest or a moose."
It's good that I saw that bfor doing my Daily Moose Mailing. Definitely don't want a creepy call from Interpol, or whatever secret agency is operating in the Czech Rep. these days.

Er...Interpol is a news agency, I think. I meant KGB or the like.

Haha. True! I just thought that it takes away from the fun and spontaneity of the site/concept. Thanks for what you said about the card! :)

I put on my postcrossing page "Handmade cards welcomed" maybe that will help to start a trend in the opposite direction! I am new that group so it will be interesting to see what I get! Like your card, Lilian should too!

That rant would make me want to find a combination of lots of those things (Moomin riding a train with Mickey with flowers in hand while sharing some fruit, maybe?) or find the ugliest possible card in my stash that fit his "criteria." For instance, there's one of the Outer Banks that is the worst Photoshop hack job of windsurfers and sea gulls and lighthouses that you've ever seen. Of course, I bought ten of them.
