I'm going through a bit of a mailart inspirational slump at the moment, so this is my first in about 2 weeks. I wanted to make something for Mims friends at Carytown opticals for the mailart call Mim is running for them called Make a Spactacle of yourself.
This piece is made from a Specsavers brochure, which we got 5 copies of through our letterbox, so I weaved a page of a model wearing contact lenses with a page of the same model wearing sunglasses. Then I recycled a mask that I received in the post from Cernjul Viviana Maria.
The end result wasn't that pleasing for some reason, but I wanted to send it anyway. I think that sending will kickstart my enthusiasm

Thanks Box652 - It's great to have made one. I tell you, after so long just not making, it's hard to get back on the wagon. I love making art though, not sure what happened.

I love this and especially love it when you weave! Great combo. You are getting back on track...you just don't know it yet!

This is such a fun piece. I took it out of the envelope and just got a big grin on my face. Love it. I'll take it to the optical shop tomorrow. She's gonna love it!
