Making mailart every day since December 1st, 2010!
Mailart 365 has moved
Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there
Love your zentangles. I have to let you in on a little secret. I am afraid to try doing zentangles because I have a feeling once I try them I am going to get addicted. I LOVE working in a manner that is very repetitive and almost meditative, as you can see from some of my pieces with the repetitive mark making. And I love linework and design. I love the way zentangles look too, but I'm just afraid if I were to try it out, it would be goodbye to all my other work. I would be addicted, not in a good way. As it is now, almost all of the postcards I've done so far for this project have been painted in this repetitive manner and I have even done any collage, which is what my mailart used to be primarily.
Ahh robayre to have hit on the two buzz words on the zentangle world "repetitive and meditative"! However, they like to link the word therapeutic with meditative rather than addictive. But with that said it can become rather addictive! I have posted a lot of zentangle this month because I had been traveling and it was easy to to take card stock, a pen and pencil. I would recommending dipping a toe in. But I hope you won't give up your other painted style posts, I love those they bright colorful and I am hoping to get one of those!

To me that is the fun thing about zentangles everyone sees something different! Or it looks different if you turn it another way.
