Found this to be extremely interesting. A poet in 1993 writes a poem trying to interpret Vermeer's meaning in his painting 'The Loveletter', and I, in 2011, do a piece of artwork combining the two previous pieces into one. I thought it was very erotic when she wrote, "Or she may feel the heavy curve of his instrument against her stomach and her eyes instinctively flip up to heaven to see if anyone is watching." I wonder, if our art endures that long, how people will interpret our work 400 years from now!

I've wondered the same.
