Halibut with red nose and Johnny Appleseed Day 18 March 2011 (#35)

Today is red nose day (Comic Relief) in the U.K. where some of us don plastic red noses, do silly things and raise money for charity in the process. So why this fish with a red nose? Well, there was a customer at work with a type of fish as his surname which led on to other fish puns/jokes so in that vein and tying it in with comic relief I made this red-nosed fish just for the halibut......

Meanwhile over in the States, they are marking Johnny Appleseed Day, this being the day when John Chapman, an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, died back in 1845.
