I had to do a bit of research before making this postcard. I had no idea what "salsifis schorseneern" are but I knew it had something to do with food. Turns out they are edible daisies. It wasn't clear in my quick search if they are purple or yellow, I saw both colors, so I went with mostly purple and threw in one yellow daisy. This is going to Australia for the Swap Bot exchange Reversible Postcard Right Back At Ya coordinated by FarStarr.
I had so much fun doodling the background on this postcard. It was ever so relaxing! And the best part ... the Pentel markers I used are Greg's, who purchased them on 29 December 1993! Greg used to draw a lot, but I can't get him interested in picking up the habit again. He dated all his markers, and I found them a few years ago while cleaning out some storage containers. I hadn't open the case to see if the pens were any good until tonight when I needed something to draw with and didn't have anything other than colored pencils and a couple brush markers. I'm super impressed that 18 year old markers still color very well.
This postcard reminds me of a movie I saw when I was a little kid called "Please Don't Eat the Daisies." I think it was also made into a television series, but we didn't have television until I was in my teens, so I'm pretty sure if I ever saw the series, it was well after its first run.

They don't sell these at my local Food Giant! Beautiful work!
