Mailart 365 has moved
Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there#76 - M is for Mermaid
The vintage postcard is Mermaid Street, in Sussex, England. The label is from a bottle of rum I bought just for the label, though the rum is not bad at all. The label is a limited edition commemorating Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins, a 20th century master tattoo artist. And I added a stamped image of mermaids pouring out of one of the doors and a metal "M" tag.
This will go to Camel.

I love the "M"ermaid...
not an uber fan of Jerry but some of his images are fantastic - like that one...
the thing that cracks me up is this - Jerry never covered nipples...
those stars were added for advertising purposes.

Cool info on the modesty stars! But, I rather like those stars ... they are sexier than bare nipples.
