| February 4-5, 2011. These are the final stanzas from the small mail art booklets that I sent out for these past five days. Feb.4 went all the way to Marie in Japan, and it arrived on Feb.4! It is a little experiment I am doing to see if the mail art might actually arrive on its date, and in this case it did, happily so. Of the five booklets, only the first one, for Feb.1, is unaccounted for, and hopefully it is not lost in the snow drifts of the USA blizzards! The Feb.5 has the final stanza of C.P.Cavafy's poem "Ithaca" and it was the only one that had the Greek hand-written and not typed. For all 5 booklets, there are USA postage "LOVE" stamps attached for the Valentine mailing, and dates stamped for "365", and the collages of papers, sandpaper, vellum, words, all add to make them "Haptic Poetry" as well. |
