This morning I found myself at the breakfast table with the Environmental report for Bangladesh and the 'society' page of the Sydney Morning Herald side by side. I'll just say it was a bit sobering and sad. I was immediately reminded of this great mantra from the 60's or 70's.
The picture of the woman weeding her subsistence plot is actually from the Bangladesh report.
And no, I'm not suggesting she's a cannibal, rather, that if these Aussie ladies had been grown up in a Bangladeshi subsistence garden their outlook might be a bit different.
