#53 - Wall o' Coffee

Whenever we go to the hardware store, which is often because my significant other is quite the do-it-yourselfer, I spend way too much time in the paint department, reading the names of the paint colors on the chips. I love the names they give colors. I always come home with a huge stack of paint chips. One of these days "they" are going to notice, and will shut me off. But until then, I will gather as many chips as I can.

This card features three coffee colors, Mid Day Mocha on the right (sort of blends in with card background), Coffee Bean on the left, and the swirly one under the mouth is Macchiato. If my walls were painted any of these shades (and I am quite partial to that Mid Day Mocha color), I would find it hard not to crave coffee even more than I already do. I'm very suggestible when it comes to coffee. If I just read the word "coffee" in a book, I immediately want coffee. Not a good thing at night when I do most of my reading.

This is going to Canada, to Jeanne for whom I have owed a reply since early November. Yikes!

Next time I walk by a wall of paint chips, I'll think of you & snag a handful & send them your way. Oooooooh, may be going to 'The' (as we say here in Ky.) Walmart today! LOL! Why is it northern folk go to Walmart, & southern folk go to 'The' Walmart?

A paint chip story: one of the buildings, in which I taught my art foundation color research class, was located a street away from Lowes Hardware, with it's enormous paint section. The students would go there and take paint chips for their assignments that required "found" color. I'm sure they were very sneaky about it, but I often wondered what Lowe's thought was going on with all of their color chips decreasing.

Who gets to name the paint chips? That's the job I want!

I am sorely tempted to buy that magnetic paint and paint all the Walls of my house. It could change everything as far as my REAL wall is concerned. I'm gonna be dreaming of magnetic paint tonight

Moving away from the subject of paint though, I can't drink coffee. It makes me hyperactive. Believe me you don't want to see that even though it sounds fascinating.
