Mailart 365 has moved
Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there#32 from Boo Cartledge
#32 of 365. I love this 4 x 6 piece. You've got your embroidery, your Ray Johnson memorial bunny, and then the amazing coincidence of the flower on which the bee stands matching the pink flower embroidered -- what? 30, 40, 50, 60 years ago? I've been buying vintage embroidered pieces for 20 or 30 years, none of which are new because I prefer the worn ones... One of my favorites, I sent this one to Lucy Pritchett.

I LOVE IT! Can't get enough of when the stamps bleed into the background. Awesome

Brings back great memories of my mom teaching me to embroider designs like this on pillowcases when I was a little girl! Love it!

Thanks, Andy! I may intentionally see what stamps I have that I can get to bleed. This one was a happy, happy accident.

Hi, Paula! I just now saw your comment. Yep, I learned embroidery in the same way. It made me happy then, and it still does. : )
