Mailart 365 has moved

Children round the postbox (and not a computer, shock horror!)was taken from a shoes advert in a magazine. I then recently rediscovered these letter stamps and pieces of postal ephemera stickers so put the two together - now just got to get those kids making some mailart to put in the post box!

Made using a postal themed Christmas card from a year or so ago and some new rubber stamps I bought myself recently but only just opened them today - Merry Christmas everbody!

Well, nearly the Big Day and most Christmas Deliveries will have been done so to mark that here's one more!

I'd been keeping these chicken images for sometime as there used to be a cockerel round here (a surprise in itself as it is a very built up area not far from Heathrow airport)who would crow at all given hours of the day (I don't think he knew what time it was!)but alas he is no more and in fact he has not been around for a few months.....Anyhow, thought it was high time to use these images and as they are saying, there ain't nobody here but us chickens.....!

This took quite a while to colour but I think it's been worth it and the best bit to do was the inside of the triangle as I just went through the whole pack of pencils, scribbling from one colour to the next - a bit of structure followed by a bit of chaos, somewhat like real life!

I was making today's artistamp for World Hello Day when I thought I'd also do a piece of mailart on the same theme so a big hello from Positively Postal. Check out the P/P website for more World Hello fun!

I scanned the Queen's head and Penny Black from the front cover of a philatelic book, was adding the man posting two letters & Royal Mail Bristol London Mail Coach taken from remnants of stamp Prestige Book, when all of a sudden this bird from yesterday's piece (Birds of Britain I) flew in and dropped the old style QEII stamps while holding onto the one still in its beak, got in a bit of a flap!

I had a technical glitch with my internet on Friday - it wasn't working at all :( and only managed to fix it today so as a result I have fallen behind a day or two but never mind. Probably should have gone and joined these stamps at the Hotel Concierge!

It is now just one year until the 30th Olympic and Paralympic games kick off in London so with a bit of help from Photoshop and the Positively Postal logo plus some Royal Mail stamps I've made this postal Olympic themed countdown piece.

A brand new service from Royal Mail and Twitter is unveiled today to try to boost falling mail volumes. Called Twiletter every tweet and letter posted can be combined and sent in either of the usual ways free of charge. This service is accompanied by new special gold scale fish and Twiletter stamps. Note that this is just a trial service which only runs from midnight on April 1st 2011 until midday so get those tweets and letters ready and go Twiletter....!
