Mailart 365 has moved

Presenting the Strawberry Laser taken from a beauty salon leaflet put through the door and other images taken from a luxury, high-end product magazine full of far too expensive items but a great mailart source and free, how ironic! :)

This colouring in pattern has been on the go for weeks if not months and I've now finally finished it. These patterns are not even that big and when I start them I think I'll be finished in no time, put them to on side and the next thing you know a few weeks has passed by and they are still shouting out "Colour me in, NOW!"

The last piece made in Paris...now where/when are we going to have the next international get-together...!?

Today is apparently compliment day so here is one which took an age to colour in but I think/hope it was worth it!

This took quite a while to colour but I think it's been worth it and the best bit to do was the inside of the triangle as I just went through the whole pack of pencils, scribbling from one colour to the next - a bit of structure followed by a bit of chaos, somewhat like real life!

This was the last piece of coloured card in the packet which I have been using to make these pieces. I used the card packaging insert which said to get bzzzy with colour so that's what I've done here!

I found this old postage dues stamp album page looking a bit sad and empty so thought I'd try cheering it up with a selection of colours, patterns, dots , a green jug, blue bottle and some glasses, go on, take a closer look!

One of my daughters has a Hello Kitty ruler with a serrated edge so I drew round it once, twice, thrice and before you knew it I'd drawn round it several times and then coloured in the resulting patterns as you can see.

I did these flowers while I was up in Scotland on holiday (I'm now back) and sitting in my parents' house I noticed some mugs which I bought for Mum's birthday last year. They had flowers on them like this so I took my inspiration from them and have made some "mug flowers" of my own!

I was sent a networking e-mail the other day about "making it happen" so that's what I've done here and will carry on doing....

Hannah made this from scratch yesterday afternoon using all her own stuff and imagination!

On the front page of Monday's (1st August)free paper, The Metro, there was a picture of a giant inflatable slide in Bournemouth so I took it and its bright colourful patterns as my inspiration for this piece - not sure you could slide down this but hopefully you get the idea, even bought some new pens to make this!

I wanted to use the pink dolls house image from the GPO(General Post Office, what Royal Mail used to be called) Christmas 1968 First Day Cover so I added wrappers from two chocolate indulgences I recently had and teamed them up with further bits and pieces from various magazines, books and packaging.

Found an old empty stamp album page in German for a Great British stamp collection and filled it with pattern "stamps" from the Saturday magazine, may be worth something in a few hundred years!

Hannah gave me this piece yesterday as another of her takes on the Mailart 365 name and it really does send out the message that making and sending mail art is bright, colourful and fun but of course we all know that already!

I started this a few weeks ago not really knowing what exactly I was doing or where it was heading and I did it in small patches according to my mood(not always a good one!) and here is the final result. I'm sure there are all sorts of subliminal messages in it somewhere but I'll let you read into it what you will.... :)

In amongst all my packing up I came across this bit of art which I did myself quite a while ago so I thought I would show it now and send it off a bit later. As you may be aware this was the title of Lady Gaga's first single back in 2009 and that is what I am planning on doing this Saturday night when most of this moving out of my current house business is over.
